Al Bailey, M.P.A, is an entrepreneur, youth advocate, and community activist. Over the years, Bailey has gone from being a recipient of the social service system to being the Executive Director of an organization that provides social services. His goal is helping others achieve their very best. In the words of Al Bailey; “I want to use my life, my experiences, and my mistakes to do good work.”
Al started his first non-profit – Social and Educational Betterment Coalition, Inc. –a supportive service for youth who were aging out of the foster care system when he was barely twenty years old. In a four-year period, Bailey took the SEBC from a mere concept to a $750,000 a year budget, during which time, he received many proclamations from the Mayor, the County Commissioner and a myriad of other community leaders.
Eye for Change Youth and Family Services was conceived by Bailey and a group of other concerned social service professionals who recognized that there were gaps in services for the most vulnerable Cleveland residents, people struggling with multiple challenges be it mental health issues or a need for social resources – people in need of wrap around support.
Bailey holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Cleveland State University in Urban Studies with a concentration in public management. He also holds a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Organizational Management and is a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.
